2 pm: Scouting for Sat tours and Allen Acres tour
6 pm-till: Power Point Presentations. Net-working, etc. Allen Acres. We also will count fireflys and go sheeting (mothing), spider eyes, and maybe hear owls?
Saturday, May 27, 2023:
8:30 am slide presentation on pitcher plant bogs
9:30 am: “Forest Service Traditional BBBBB” WE are planning to visit pitcher plant bogs, upland areas, and other ecosystems. Depart from Allen Acres
12-130 pm Lunch Break bring your own food or Susan is offering a $10 lunch special.
130 PM “Afternoon Field Trip” See 9 am above. We are planning to visit pitcher plant bogs, upland areas, and other ecosystems. Also hope to visit the only Louisiana location for green fringed orchid (Platanthera lacera).

Sunday May 28, 2023:
9 am: “Sunday Morning Field Trip” Allen Acres hike and mushroom (bolete) survey including the Ouiska Chitto Creek area. David Lewis has agreed to lead the mushroom survey

130 PM: Pine tree removal
