Join the Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation for a relaxed morning under the pines for our Summer Series: Briarwood Nature Preserve – home to Louisiana’s beloved natural legacy. We’ll explore the beauty of the preserve while reflecting on the places we protect.
Enjoy a seasonal brunch buffet from the Natchitoches Picnic Company, a guided walk though native botanical trails, & visit the log cabin of Caroline Dorman: teacher, artist, author, conservationist, & first female employee of the National Forestry Service, instrumental in the formation of U.S. Forest Service – Kisatchie National Forest.
